Hello, neighbors.
Name’s Dominick, longtime canyon wanderer, sometime troublemaker, full-time believer in better ideas. You’re probably wondering what a donkey is doing writing a blog.
Simple: somebody’s got to call it like it is. For too long, bad ideas have rolled downhill faster than a boulder in a flash flood.
And too often, nobody stood in their way.
But that’s changing now.
We’re organizing. We’re paying attention.
And when we see something headed straight for the foothills, whether it’s a trailer park on a fault line, a sewage plant pretending it’s a “green solution,” or a zoning change cooked up by somebody who just finished an online real estate course and sees dollar signs, we’re going to say something.
I’m not here to hate on growth.
I’m here to protect what’s sacred, what’s special, and what was handed down to us by people who actually cared about the land.
(Not people who bought a course last summer and think canyons are cash registers.)
This is just the first bray.
You’ll hear from my friends too, Saint Timoteo and Saint Jacinto, who have a few centuries of experience fighting bad ideas.
And you’ll hear from real people, the ones who live here, walk here, and care here.
Because the Badlands aren’t just blank space on a map.
They’re home.
And like any good donkey, once I’ve planted my hooves – I’m not moving.
Stick around. It’s going to get interesting.
